The best basketball interviews you won’t find on ESPN.

I’ve been in love with basketball since childhood. Of course, this love has evolved over the years and dimmed at times, but the passion has always remained.

I wouldn’t say I’m a fanatic in the showy sense of the word as I don’t spend hundreds of dollars on Lakers or Clippers tickets when there’s a game in my city. I don’t buy jerseys or collect vintage sneakers to show off on Instagram. I’m also not trolling my least favorite ballplayers during the playoffs via Twitter.

You will catch me at Sparks games because tickets are much more affordable. I’ll engage in debates with strangers about playoff predictions. And my YouTube history tab is filled with classic NBA, Olympic, and FIBA basketball games. I’m a lover of the game through and through.

When basketball stopped in March because of COVID-19, I turned my attention over to podcasts. This act may have been the best decision I made this year, as it’s been the gift that keeps giving throughout the quarantine.

Basketball podcasts have been producing some of the most engaging content I’ve witnessed all year. I’ve heard interviews from evasive legendary hoopers like Allen Iverson to up and coming stars like Jayson Tatum.
