With the holiday season fast approaching, I find cameras to be the gift that keeps on giving. I couldn’t tell you at this point how many film cameras I’ve given away, but I can say the recipients are always happy and eager to get started.
I’ve compiled a list of cheap cameras to help you save money and enjoy film photography, as they all sell for under $100 on eBay.
Minolta SRTs
Minolta released several SLR cameras known as the SR-T series. It doesn’t matter which version of the Minolta SR-T you buy, as they’re all quality cameras, and you can purchase any one of them for less than $100 on eBay. These cameras are also great for beginners as the bodies are simple, sturdy, and feature only the basics.
These cameras have many interchangeable lenses, also affordable.
Bonus, the cameras come with built-in light meters and are completely mechanical, meaning you can use the camera even if you don’t have batteries.
